Get Organized in 2012 – Week 1

Happy New Year!

Do you have the goal of getting organized in 2012? Great! Let’s get started.

I’ll post some simple quick organizing and decluttering projects each week, that you can accomplish in minutes-a-day. These short tasks will not overwhelm you, but at the same time you’ll get organized.

Week 1

Set up a donation station. A box or two will do. Stash the box in a closet or the laundry room – anywhere were you will come across stuff you no longer want. This will make it so easy to drop your donations without even thinking about it. When the box is full take it to a charity to donate.

Next, focus on your kitchen. This will make such a big difference in your life! Clean out one cabinet each day. Discard old spices, read the expiration dates in your pantry, put like-items together. Don’t forget your frig/freezer. What’s in the way back? Decluttering your kitchen will take awhile so plan on using the rest of the week to accomplish this project.

You are on your way!
