Get Organized in 2012 – Week 20

Happy Mother’s Day! Enjoy the day. Spend a moment looking around your house and admire your organized space. You’ve accomplished a lot. But don’t stop now!

This week we will concentrate on some small things in your home office. Getting rid of those little things that you don’t need and just take up space.

Week 20

Day 1. Let go of some stationary and cards. Pair up envelopes and cards. If you can’t make a pair get rid of the orphans. Toss anything that you don’t like anymore.

Day 2. Sort your office supplies. Gather together all types of paper, folders, labels, etc and find a home for these items.

Day 3. Declutter your pencil jar. Toss any pens that don’t work. Sharpen your pencils.

Day 4. Clean off you keyboard. Get out the canned air and wipes and give your computer parts a good scrubbing.

Day 5. Do some shredding. If you have been saving this task for someday, today is the day. Pull out the shredder and get it done.

Now isn’t that better? I bet you want to spend some time at your desk now.
