What does your current filing system look like?
To have an effective system you need to know what you have, so first you must sort the paper. Separate bank statements, bills, medical records, etc. Discard anything that is outdated.
Create files for each type of paperwork. Make a tab with a label, so you will be able to find needed items in the future.
How you sort the file folders in your drawer is up to you; alphabetically, by type of item. Whatever makes sense to you.
Maintain your system by taking a few minutes each week to file paperwork. That’s all it takes and it will save you time and frustration, when you are looking for that all important piece of paper.
