Vacation is Time Off

Everyone needs to get away from work and relax. Now that summer is over, how many of us didn’t take a vacation this summer. With just over two months left in the calendar year, how much vacation have you accrued and not used?

Some stats:

The average number of vacation days American employees receive annually is 13. Only slightly behind Japan with 15 and Australia with 19 days. But consider that Germans earn 27 days and the French earn 38 days of vacation each year. I think we are losing out.

But also consider that 34% of Americans don’t use all of their vacation days each year, with the average number of days left behind at 3.

Come on people! Take some time off.
