We are right in the middle of the holiday season. Quick breathe! So much to do, so little time. While you have so much on your plate, focus your organizing projects on maintenance this week.
Day 1. Declutter the guest bathroom. Stock it with toilet paper, soap, clean towels, etc. Wipe it down. Now you are ready for that unexpected guest.
Day 2. Where are you hiding your gifts? Maybe it’s time to declutter what’s under your bed or on the shelf or where ever you are hiding things. Now you have space.
Day 3. Make a gift list. What do you still need? Who is still on your shopping list? Make a small list and put it in your wallet or type it into your phone. Now it will be with you when you are out and ready to shop.
Day 4. Let go of one or two obligations. Time is tight over the holidays. Take something off your list for this month – don’t attend that meeting or start that new project til the holidays are over.
Day 5. One last project to keep you organized til the new year. Clear off you desk top. Pay necessary bills and identify other priority items. Get clear on what’s active and what can wait. If you are done with it, trash it or file it.
Maybe you can identify another area in your house that needs a little maintenance. Go ahead and substitute your personal projects. Get it done. Whatever you need to keep you organized over the holidays.
